Ayesha | A Lush Mask Review

Yesterday I spent some time with a few girlfriends. We shopped… We ate… We shopped some more and we ended the day at LUSH. My love for Lush grows with every purchase.  I will post a mini haul later but today I felt like I HAD to talk about Ayesha. This was the first thing the sales girl told us about the moment we walked in the door. And Aside from The Breath Of Fresh Air Toner Water, Ayesha was the only thing all three of us bought.

Ayesha…. Ayesha…. Ayesha….

Well. Let me start by mentioning all of the amazing ingredients this mask has in it:

  • Fullers Earth  Honey (Mel)
  • Elderflower (Sambucus Nigra) & Lime Tree Flower (Tilia Europaea) Decoction
  •  Glycerine
  •  Fresh Asparagus (Asparagus officinalis)
  •  Fresh Organic Kiwi Fruit (Actinidia chinensis)
  •  Kaolin , Witch Hazel Extract (Hamamelis virginiana)
  •  Rose Absolute (Rosa damascena)
  •  Rosemary Oil (Rosmarinus officinalis)
  •  Patchouli Oil (Pogostemon cablin)
  •  Elderflower Vinegar
  •  Bentone Gel
  • Geraniol
  • Limonene
  • Linalool
  •  *Fragrance . *Occurs naturally in essential oils.

Ayesha is supposed to be stored in the refrigerator, and can only hold for about 12 hours outside of the fridge.

I used a Dream Steam, Steamer to open up my pores and prep my skin for the mask. I applied the mask with a clean foundation brush.  It felt SO good on the skin. I especially loved the feel of the cold mask on my freshly steamed skin. That was heavenly. Unfortunately the smell was so overpowering, i wont be repurchasing this mask.

Did i feel that it did everything it was SUPPOSED to do? (Tightened , toned, gave me a youthful glow) YES. Did it FEEL good on the skin? Yes.

I couldn’t  take the full 5-10 minutes that’s recommended to leave it on . I prefer the Mask of Magnaminty 100 times over Ayesha. (Again, Let me reiterate, that is NOT enough to say that this mask sucked or wasn’t worth what i paid for it. It did everything it was supposed to do and FELT good on the skin. The smell for me was just off putting and unfortunately for Ayesha i prefer to enjoy my breathing experience. *shrugs shoulders*)

So close, Ayesha! So close.

If you have experienced this mask PLEASE comment below and tell me about it! Good OR bad! I’d love to hear your thoughts! Will you be repurchasing? What is YOUR favorite Lush mask?
